The sun is dawning once again upon the land of Akeroth.

For centuries, people have flocked to The World Tree, Heimestre, to partake of their blessing—the abundant mana that fuels the magic they rely upon in their everyday lives.

As the Mana begins to fade and the lifeless power spread ever further, the power struggle for possession of the final embers of the Divine light grows ever more fierce.

Yet amidst the gathering chaos, there are those who believe that the legacy of mana has shaped mankind's destiny for long enough.

Akeroth

A Land Blessed in the Light of the Nine Divines and the World Tree.

The realm of Akeroth stands upon the ever-expanding roots of Heimstre, a majestic tree radiating boundless power that looms over the realm, bestowing it with Mana.

Over the ages, individuals have flocked to these luminous landmarks, harnessing the mana to weave enchantments that granted lives of abundance and ease. As each region spawned formidable factions, a delicate harmony endured. However, this equilibrium teeters on the brink as the encroaching Vortex threatens to ravage their realm.

  • Grand Kingdom of Erwick

Long ago, a group of small independent provinces in central Akeroth found strength in unity, and formed the Grand Kingdom of Erwick.

After years of relative prosperity, the kingdom now finds itself threatened by the spread of The Vortex—a threat that, left unchecked, would doubtless usher the realm to ruin. Erwick draws its mana from the roots of the World Tree in Mesym, forming a bond with the region that surpasses both ocean and bureaucracy.

The Hero of Sifor, God of the Sun, is titled as Archduke when they step forth as Champion.

  • The Arcane Empire of Mesym

Mesym is the largest force of arcane abilities in Akeroth. The Empire's capital Kornik is built upon the tomb of the Yellow King, the first sovereign and wielder of the First Magic. It is said that his blood blesses the surrounding provinces with abundant mana.

The people happily take advantage of this, living in comfort and security under the watchful gaze of the Spire, a council of wizards that only allow those deemed worthy to study in the prestigious school, The Midnight Court.

The Hero of Ius, God of the Moon, serves as the empire's Champion, taking to the field in times of war to rout its enemies.

  • The Region of Mayfalls

The Region of Mayfalls is made up of grand mountains that encompass the borders of all it’s neighbouring regions. This region draws it’s Mana from a great beast that was felled long ago and it’s jaw forming the treacherous terrain above the surface.

Mayfalls currently sits in turmoil as the Elves of Fae and Dwarves of Keiku argue on which of them inherit these lands as their birth right. Ignoring the oncoming threat of The Vortex, many only hope they seize this chance to make peace.

The Hero of Emdros, God of Thunder, is installed as a special advisor to the Council of Roots & Hammer, having a significant say in its decision-making.

  • The Republic of Caburh

Mist claims this land, the south eastern region of Akeroth, as its dominion. The kingdom's control of the continent currently lies in the hands of Vampire, Were-men and other beastfolk of the Night who make their home there, but the current ruler of the realm—Hero of Mordred, Goddess of Death—has succeeded in their campaign of pushing back of those deemed unworthy of the Moonlight’s Gift.

Using the power of the kingdom's Mana, found within the head of a Great Serpent, this land has built up a mighty army, with which it now seeks to test it’s might by standing against The Vortex once more.

  • The Great Forests of Hyhill

This Dominion of Nature sits at the heart of Akeroth’s First Continent, it’s forests grown around the first physical embodiment of The World Tree, Heimstre. Many bloody battles were fought for control of this land due to its strategic importance, till the warring realms finally agreed to an armistice.

As part of the peace treaty, the forests around Heimstre became an untouched land where beasts that came from the other realms could roam free and Fae, displaced from their home could live in peace.

This agreement, however, was short lived and the Hero of Yala, Goddess of Life, stays this ground as Protector and Champion of this land.
